FRUD supports the demonstration on 18 February 2011, organized by the UAD, with participation of the  UMD and all democratic forces in Djibouti.

FRUD calls all his supporters, activists and the people of Djibouti, to participate in this event for freedom, democracy, dignity, against the third term of IOG and his mafia-style and predatory family.

FRUD salutes the bravery and courage of young people who continue to demonstrate against the regime of Guelleh.  FRUD condemns the killing Abdallah Mohamed Abdallah in the premises of the police and and all the arbitrary arrests including those of Human rights activists in Djibouti like Jean Paul Noel Abdi President LDDH.  FRUD would like to draw the attention of the international community, to the massive introduction of war material in Djibouti, including those drawn from stock of arms coming from Uganda, China etc and destined to Somalia.

FRUD warns the president and his wife on the possible use of 500 Somali police recruits being trained by Ugandan officers (who were patrolling in the city of Djibouti the night of December 31, 2010, and continue to do so to identify areas where demonstrations could be organized ) and who may be deployed against peaceful demonstrators because the president has no confidence in his police, nor his army, with the exception of some diehards in the Republican Guard.

It is to hide all these maneuvers that the Djibouti authorities have staged a grotesque show on February 9 alleging to have discovered in the northern part of the country weapons belonging to FRUD and claiming they were imported from Eritrea.

Done in Brussels, 12 February 2011
MOHAMED KADAMY President FRUD
